Hello and welcome to my portfolio!

 

I'm Jaspreet Singh. I am a bioengineer, passionate about interdisciplinary innovation. My educational journey at the University of Pittsburgh led me to pursue in a Master of Science in Bioengineering where I studied Neual Engineering and focused on Brain Computer Interfaces. I also received my Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience from the Universiy of Pittsburgh. I strongly believe in leveraging technology and scientific knowledge to improve the quality of life of people in and outside of my community.

​My enthusiasm for helping others is not just a career choice, but a calling that has guided my path every step of the way. Whether it is through cutting-edge research in neural engineering, clinical experiences, or advocacy work, my goal is always to make a positive impact on the world.

I firmly believe that empathy and creativity—skills honed on the stage through my minor in Theatre—are as vital to scientific advancement as technical proficiency. The unique blend of artistic expression and scientific inquiry has equipped me to think outside the box and communicate complex concepts with clarity and passion.

In the realm of neuroscience, I've delved deep into the intricacies of the human brain, striving to understand the profound effects of life experiences on neural pathways. This pursuit has not only been academic but also hands-on, as I’ve contributed to vital research in understanding and preventing cognitive disorders in elderly populations.

Through bioengineering, I've had the exciting opportunity to design and prototype medical devices, applying my knowledge to create solutions that prioritize patient safety and efficacy. My work aims to bridge the gap between abstract theory and tangible, life-altering technology.

From my involvement with nonprofit organizations like Asha for Education, where I advocated for global education accessibility, to my volunteer efforts in healthcare settings, every experience has been fueled by a hearty dedication to service.
